Privitum text message PINs

Privitum sends private voice messages that play one time. The recipient receives a private link by email. When the sender has saved the recipient's phone number, the six-digit PIN that unlocks the link is delivered by text message, so the link and the PIN travel on separate channels.

What the program is

One-time, transactional PIN messages sent by Privitum LLC on behalf of a Privitum account holder who has chosen to message a specific person. One text is sent per private message. There is no marketing, no promotions, no recurring subscription, and no list of any kind.

How consent is collected

Phone numbers are never collected from the public or bought. A signed-in Privitum account holder adds a phone number to one of their own saved contacts, and Privitum will not save the number until the account holder ticks this confirmation:

Privitum records the date of that confirmation and sends no PIN text to a number without it. The recipient is also shown a notice on the message-retrieval page explaining that a PIN may arrive by text. If no number is saved, or consent is missing, the PIN is sent in a separate email and no text message is sent.

What the message says

When the sender adds their name, the message begins with “Sender Name via Privitum” instead.

Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving PIN texts at that number. Reply HELP for help. You can also ask the sender to remove your number from their contacts, or email help@privitum.com. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency is one text per private message received.
